kiwi fruit - Cornwall allotments

Bought for the princely sum of £1 a couple of years ago from a supermarket: What was about 3 inches high has gradually grown into a reasonable bush, clinging to  net fencing on my allotment. I am very pleased to discover it has set lots of flowers.

It has had all sorts of weather to contend with - up to 2 inches of rain a day (December to February), very cold and dry April, strong winds (about 2 miles from the Atlantic coast) and is thriving. Softwood cuttings are recommended by the RHS, so I'll have a go next Spring :)

The Kiwi fruit is a good source of several vitamins and minerals, including:

Vitamin A1%Vitamin C154%
Vitamin D0%Vitamin B-65%
Vitamin B-120%Magnesium

Very late in the year! But a couple of weeks ago I picked them. Only a few this year, but hopefully more 2017 :)

Small and tasty ...
