birds nesting in November - climate change and biodiversity

sparrows and bluetit

sparrows and blue tit singing in the hedgerow. Many birds are thinking of nesting, because November is so unnaturally warm (16C on the 13th November; 13C on the 20th).

  1. Even later this year. It is so warm the birds are very lively. There is a huge bird where I walk my dog, and not sure of the species. Probably a buzzard, but it's staying on the ground, so I can't be sure.
